Oh, and to make this post even LONGER, here's my DxDiag: Any advice you can give would be much appreciated! You'll probably notice I'm using an older graphics driver though - that's because the newer ones mess with my movie players, gives them all green screens. I've also updated my graphics drivers, sound and BIOS, yet still the problem remains. When I restart, both are gone and I now have 3 Primaries, Secondaries and Standard Dual Controllers, so I followed logic and thought I'll uninstall all of them and let the computer reinstall them on restart, except when I restarted I got the infamous blue-screen-of-death, so I had to reload with original settings. One was operational, the other wasn't, so I uninstalled the inactive one. I checked my events log and found that during the time of the crash, 12 or so warnings had spammed claiming a disk error - "An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation." I thought this might be a faulty SATA driver and I noticed on my system overview I had two nForce SATA controllers. I'd like to put this one to bed though, 'cause I seriously don't want this problem happening to anything else (and yeah, it'd be nice to play X3 again!!) I haven't experienced this with any other games my computer runs games like Oblivion and Stalker on full graphics, no problems. 3 months since I last played it?) However, the game now runs for a random period of time - anywhere between 2 - 60 minutes - and then freezes up for a second before the entire computer restarts. Recently I took X3 down and dusted it off, thought I'd get back into it again, never had any problems prior (maybe. I figured I'd best get some expert advice before I go tinkering around in my registry again (I've made a nice mess already, more on that later).
